Awards for Ahmetaj, Westbrook, Norris and Johnstone

PREMIER DIVISION

Bromley Green defensive midfielder Bekim Ahmetaj wins the Premier Division player of the month award after his outstanding performances in the middle of the park for the title chasing side as joint managers Gary Gibbs and Lee Milton saw their side win all three of their fixtures in November. Ahmetaj came up through the youth ranks at the Green before featuring for Willesborough Athletic, Margate Sports and Ashford FC, but has returned to his boyhood club with a bang this season. The Green beat Armada 4-1 with Ahmetaj heavily involved to go through to the last-16 of the Kent Sunday Premier Cup, while the midfield player also starred in the 12-2 victory over Hythe RBL and the 6-4 win against Red Heathens last month.

DIVISION ONE

The Division One November player of the month prize goes to Folkestone United striker Robbie Westbrook who fired home eight goals for his side last month. United went into the new month on the back of three successive defeats which was extended to five after consecutive league losses to Aldington and Charing. But Westbrook’s prolific form in front of goal couldn’t have come at a better time as he scored four times in their 5-3 League Cup victory over Ashford Genclik before replicating that feat netting another four as United beat Cheriton AFC 6-3 away from home in the league.

DIVISION TWO

In-form Mike Norris scoops the Division Two player of the month award after the South Willesborough striker helped his side to four wins from four games last month. In total Norris scored five goals in four games in November for the Frog Islanders extending his goal scoring run to ten goals in his last eight appearances coinciding with the teams’ excellent form and nine game unbeaten sequence. Norris scored twice in the 7-0 Kent Sunday Junior Trophy victory over Lolzors Reserves whilst also scoring one in each of the wins against Ashford Cavaliers, Park Farm Rangers and Burton Grove.

DIVISION THREE

Folkestone United Reserves goalkeeper Jack Johnstone continues to get the better of opposition strikers on and off the pitch, as on the pitch his heroics between the posts helped him land the Division Three player of the month accolade off it. Johnstone kept two clean sheets in November including an important shutout in the 1-0 away victory at promotion rivals Ashford United Thirds before following that up as Charing Reserves were unable to get past him as United ran out comfortable 9-0 winners.
