Monthly awards for Jimmy Adams, James Nuttall, Sam Lopez and Bradley Freund

Premier Division

Brewmaster have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season in the Premier Division and one player who has made a massive contribution to their good form has been centre-back Jimmy Adams. The no nonsense defender wins the Premier Division player of the month award for the first time having started all four of the Brews’ September fixtures including the eye catching 4-2 home league victory against current leaders Bromley Green. Adams also featured in the 7-0 win over Lolzors and the 3-1 victory against Mersham Sports to help Brewmaster go on to only concede three goals this season from their four games and they can boast to have the best defensive record in the division.

Division One

James Nuttall wins the September player of the month award in Division One after starring for his side Horsebox Bars last month. The skipper and midfielder has been key to the Horsemen’s excellent start to the new campaign in which they have won four and drawn one of their opening five fixtures. During that period Nuttall has found the back of the net five times, including scoring a brace in the 3-3 draw against Folkestone United, whilst he also scored in the victories against Appledore, Cheriton AFC and Hythe Royal British Legion to help his side go top of the table at the end of last month.

Division Two

Troggs youngster Sam Lopez has hit the ground running this season and his performances in the middle of the pitch for the Smarden side has earned the midfielder the Division Two player of the month prize. Lopez has won rave reviews from several opposition managers and officials in recent weeks due to his work rate and passing ability and could be crucial to Troggs’ ambitions this year who are looking for a quick return to Division One after relegation last season. Lopez scored his first Sunday League goal in the 4-2 league victory at home to Fox Sunday last month, whilst he won the man of the match award as Troggs beat Ashford Spartans 4-1 away from home.

Division Three

Despite defenders and midfielders dominating the other three monthly awards, it’s an in-form striker with an incredible scoring record that scoops the Division Three player prize. Singleton Barn forward Bradley Freund has enjoyed an unbelievable start with the early season leaders since joining from Lolzors in the summer scoring 21 goals from his first seven starts for the club, including netting 16 times from five appearances in September for the pub side. That tally included four hat-tricks, two of which he managed to score four in the victories over Smeeth & Brabourne and Bromley Green Reserves. He scored three times in the wins over Kingsnorth Pilgrims and Pilgrims Sunday, and a brace in the 2-1 win away at Folkestone United Reserves as Neil Hemstead’s side won five out of five games last month.
